Psychotria viridis
This plant, also known as Chacruna, is a common ingredient of the sacred Ayahuasca brew from the Amazonian rainforest. It contains a high concentration of the visionary tryptamine DMT. *
Usage
In most recipes 25 grams is a considered a low dose, 50 grams a normal dose and 75 grams a high dose. Chacruna is usually made into a hot water infusion, boiling the leaves on a low flame for a couple of hours. Sometimes acidifiers like vinegar or lemon juice are added to speed up the extraction. Some people make two or more infusions from the same plant material and add them all together after which they condense the liquid to a smaller, easy to ingest amount.
